On April 4, 2024, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services issued what is known as the Medicare Final Rule for 2024. What this will do, is that it will change the way all Medicare enrollees receive their care. From changes in Prescription Drug Coverage, maximum out-of-pocket limits for drugs and services, to notifications about remaining yearly benefits, each enrollee receiving Part D Prescription Drug benefits will see a change in how coverage will be handled in 2025, from what they are seeing this year in 2024. Changes to your program will be allowed during the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), from October 15 to December 7 of this year, but you may be eligible to change programs and benefits sooner, if you qualify.
In addition, changes to Social Security, and rules surrounding retirement plans will go into effect, due to phase-in of rules from the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).
